We have an exciting opportunity for an on-site Risk Management Specialist located at our Home Office in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. This full-time position is responsible for managing primary casualty insurance claims and other Risk Management functions. In addition, the position ensures prompt review and processing of insurance related invoices and allocations.
Responsibilities:
Perform timely and accurate processing of claims related to multiple lines of coverage including auto, general liability and workers' compensation.
Works closely with third party claims administrator and legal department.
Maintain strong relationships with Branch Management teams.
Review insurance related invoices for accuracy and processing payment with appropriate allocation.
Manage minor auto and general liability claims and provide oversight of third-party adjusters.
Manage "Damages under $3500" process and ensure compliance with established accounting procedures.
Manage litigated claims docket with reporting to Legal department.
Participate in insurance claim reviews and ensure follow up actions are completed timely.
Prepare and distribute reports on insurance claim status and proposed action plans.
Provide guidance and direction to Branches relating to certificates of insurance and other insurance related issues.
Manage work-related injury early intervention program.
Manage medical only and non-complex workers' compensation claims including oversight of third-party administrator.
Manage workers' compensation return to work program including oversight of third-party administrator.
Process FMLA work-related injury process.
Completion of projects as assigned.
Requirements:
High school education or GED equivalent; college preferred.
ARM is a plus.
Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
Experience with Microsoft applications including excel worksheets.
Strong communication skills.
