We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Risk Management Technical Assistant within our Risk Department group based in Houston, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain complex databases and processes, as required, to support Risk Management staff and its activities.
- Create quarterly billing reports to provide to insurers for financial recovery from current and historical insurance policies.
- Gather supporting documents for settlement reimbursement requests as needed.
- Assure insurers reimbursements received are deposited and recorded in the Risk Management Insurance Receivable Tracking System (IRTS). Input allocations as directed.
- Complete Month End reporting to other Departments including:
- Reconciliation and allocation of loss funding
- Reconciliation and allocation of casualty claims receipts
- Reconciliation and allocation of accrual account
- Create, reconcile, and transmit weekly reports on Indemnity payments to Accounting, Payroll and other applicable departments as required.
- Create and distribute claims tenders to insurers as directed monthly. Update insurer distribution lists as needed.
- Prepare self-administered claims statistical payments for upload to TPA’s system.
- Interface with Legal’s system:
- Prepare monthly new matters report for review.
- Input allocation ID’s.
- Assure new insurance policies are recorded in the appropriate systems, along with any needed updates, and maintain the Policy database for domestic and international programs. File (physically and electronically) all insurance policies, endorsements, and related material.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the department.
- Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
· Associates' Degree in Office or Business Systems or equivalent experience.
· Requires understanding of principles and practices of accounting and integrated system input.
· Preferred, but not required, 5+ year of Risk Management administrative experience.
· Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and strong computer literacy.
· High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
· Working knowledge of Access a plus.
· Working knowledge of SharePoint (web applications).
· Comfortable with new and emerging technology and tools.
