Responsibilities for RN Evening Supervisor:

• Act as part of the Nurse Management team and on behalf of Administration during the 12 hour-NOC hours
• Oversee the overall operational function of the facility during the NOC hours
• Act as a supervisory resource for nursing and support staff when their supervisor is out of the building on night shifts
  
• Make routine resident visits to assess physical and emotional status and implement any required nursing interventions
• Assist patients to achieve and maintain the highest level of self-care and independence
• Maintain positive and effective communication and relationships with the patients and their families
• Communicate all pertinent information concerning resident care to Case Manager, Director of Nursing and/or Administration
• Able to problem-solve, think critically, and take immediate corrective action if patient well-being or care is in jeopardy
• Assist with orders as necessary
• Supervise all nursing staff and require them to abide by the philosophy and rules of the facility
• Communicate verbally and in writing any pertinent patient information to appropriate personnel, physician, and point of contact 
• Assess patient symptoms and changes in conditions, and maintain accurate reports and documentation regarding resident status 
• Perform nursing leadership functions as delegated by the DON
• Other duties as assigned

​Qualifications for an RN:

• Must hold a current license and be in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota
• Must be CPR certified and have completed first aid training
• Must have previous experience in nursing or other healthcare/medical fields
• Experience with memory loss preferred, but not required
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous management or leadership experience preferred, but not required
