**Job Title:** ICU Nurse Manager **Job Specialty:** ICU **Job Duration:** Permanent **Shift:** Various **Guaranteed Hours:** 0 hours per week **Experience:** 2-4 years of clinical experience in a critical care population; at least 2 years in progressive leadership roles **License:** Registered Nurse License through the Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire **Must-Have:** Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Master's Degree in Nursing or Business preferred; Relevant professional Nursing Certification preferred **Job Description:** - Lead the daily operations of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to ensure continuous operations and long-term alignment with clinical and financial goals. - Oversee an 18-bed critical care unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2-3, focusing on patients recovering from open-heart surgery or those requiring intubation, ventilation, and life-sustaining medications. - Collaborate as part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team of leaders to achieve excellence in clinical, quality, and operational performance. - Drive patient safety and enhance patient experience through effective leadership and teamwork. - Report directly to the Director of Clinical Operations Nursing Services. - Provide leadership, support, and development opportunities to nursing staff. - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and effective management of resources. - Participate in the strategic planning process and performance improvement initiatives.
