Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)

Location: Mission Viejo, CA

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our esteemed partner medical center's Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in Mission Viejo, CA. Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill patients with a range of cardiac conditions.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Administer medications, including critical care drips, and monitor patient responses closely.
• Utilize advanced cardiac monitoring equipment to assess and interpret complex cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic parameters.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless and comprehensive care.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate and healing environment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, adhering to established protocols and standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current California Registered Nurse License
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• National Provider ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of ICU experience is strongly preferred.
