SLMC - Cardiac Serv: Interventional - Electrophysiology
Looking for a nurse that has had Electrophysiology experience including Tilts, Cardioversions, ILRs, Pacemakers, ICDs, EP studies, Ablations (AFL, AFIB, VT, SVT< PVC).

Patient Types:
EP Lab (experience required): Pacemakers, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, generator changes, Micra leadless pacemaker, Aveir leadless pacemaker, loop recorders, tilt table, TEE cardioversions, temp pacers on occasion to assist cath lab, ablations - afib, VT, PVC
Hybrid (experience preferred): Watchman

Required Licensure & Certifications:
RN: BLS, ACLS
RT(R): BLS, ACLS
Skills required:
RN: 90% of time anesthesia will give medications but RN will occasionally do the moderate sedation, so need to be comfortable giving that, monitoring/charting for cases, need to be comfortable with titrating meds as needed (usually anesthesia will help with this). Experience with EPIC and Cardiolab/Maclab
RT(R): need to be comfortable with panning/scrubbing, knowing how to set up equipment for ablations. RT(R) will not monitor/chart for cases
EnSite, Cardo, Cardiofocus, Cryo equipment for ablations. Experience with this preferred for RT(R)
Support on the Unit:
Housekeeping will help turn over rooms
Storeroom staff will manage supply room
Transport during the day from 0630-200
Receptionist/HUC: Yes, 0600-2000
Charge nurse/Lead: Will run the board in unison with cath lab, try to keep out of cases
RT: 24/7
Hospitalist: 24/7
On call EP doc 24/7
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC experience required for RN
IV pumps: Alaris
Medication dispensing: Pyxis
C-arms: Client
PACS: Transition from ProSolv to Fuji
Hemodynamic Monitoring: Cardiolab/Maclab experience required for RN

Orientation:
1-2 weeks of orientation
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Typically will not work weekends for scheduled call cases, but based on unit needs
If on call for weekend, response time is 30 minutes
On call? See below
No overnight call, but will be scheduled on various late shift rotations during the week. Typically will be late team once per week
Holiday Expectations: Typically will not work holidays, but could take call just based on need of unit
Approval of RTO: can approve 7 days off
Shift times: Four 10h shifts
Lab is open Monday Friday, 0600-1830. Start times will vary between 0600-0800, permanent staff will choose shifts prior to travelers
Rotating day off each week
Schedule cycle: 6-week schedule, receive 2 weeks prior to schedule starting
