About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Procedural Recovery - Cardiac Cath Lab **Job Duration:** 12 months **Shift:** Day - 5x8 - 9am to 5pm **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of experience **License:** Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) **Certifications:** - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association - ACLS (American Heart Association) **Must-Have:** Cardiac, ACLS, Registered Nurse, Perioperative Nursing, Cath Lab **Job Description:** - Provide nursing care in a specialty area under general supervision. - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients. - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. - Assist physicians in examining patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. - Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary. - Administer medication as prescribed. - Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver competent patient care. - Interact with patients and families to share care plans while in the hospital and upon discharge. - Oversee treatment provided by technicians or other service providers. - Inform patients and families about hospital procedures. - Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to support staff. - Perform other duties as assigned. **Skills & Experience:** - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, evaluate nursing services, and apply nursing techniques. - Maintain good working relationships with other employees. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing excellent specialized care. - Basic computer skills. **Education:** - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. - Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
