Ridgeway Rehab Center is a 61-bed skilled nursing facility, located in Catonsville, Maryland. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, current licensure with State Board of Nursing Examiners.
- One year of geriatric nursing experience preferred, but not required.
- Must be able to speak, read, write the English language.
JOB SUMMARY: In accordance with facility policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse provides clinical assessments of and quality direct care to residents under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and DON. Our RNs provide oversight and guidance to nursing staff (LPNs, GNAs, CMAs) on the resident care team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Addresses resident care needs within the RN scope of practice. As needed, seeks assistance from the resident's physician, Nurse Manager, ADON or other RN member of the Nursing leadership team.
- Stays aware of clinical and service excellence best practices in rehabilitative and extended care nursing.
- Administer medications and complete orders timely and accurately.
- Addresses resident and/or family concerned and involves members of the leadership team and needed.
- Notifies leadership of adverse events or near adverse events as required by facility policy and procedure.
- Attends all required educational activities and meetings. Documents care per policy requirements.
- In accordance with policy requirements, develops and/or revises the plans of care as needed for each resident assigned. Follows the plan of care.
- Observes all required infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
- Participates fully in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities the organization.
