RN Charge Nurse | Our skilled nursing RN Charge nurse oversees the day-to-day care of the residents on our sub-acute rehabilitation unit. Work alongside another RN Supervisor, to provide the most dedicated leadership and care that maintains Weinberg Campus's standards.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide leadership to facilitate effective patient/resident care delivery
• Monitor the condition of patients/residents under their charge, recognize changes in patient condition, implement appropriate interventions, continuity of care, and patient/resident safety
• Conform to all regulatory guidelines, ensure adherence to the facility's policies, and maintain compliance with standards of practice and ethics
• Delegate unit and patient/resident responsibilities to nursing staff
• Report concerns about patient/resident care, the work environment, or co-worker performance to management personnel in a timely fashion
• Educate nursing staff regarding the use of all equipment and supplies, safe patient handling techniques, safety procedures, and infection control
• Correspond with physicians to ensure that all information is readily available to patient/resident care providers
• Participate in admission and discharge process for patient/resident

ATTRIBUTES OF SUCCESSFUL RN Charge Nurse:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Respect for the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents
• 3 years of experience in nursing is preferred but not required
• 1 year experience in long term care and/or acute care preferred
