POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse) is accountable for assisting the Director in providing leadership to the Emergency and Intensive Care Services Departments in the areas of leadership, clinical, financial, and human resources. Accountable for assisting in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating nursing practice in accordance with the Mission of Doctors Hospital and Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. He/she demonstrates a high degree of critical thinking, technical skill, initiative, integrity, accuracy and compassionate nursing care in an interdisciplinary practice. The Clinical Manager assists the Department Director in providing direction in the development and evaluation of nursing personnel, and in maintaining operations of the patient care unit. Contributes to nursing and hospital mission through support of philosophy and objectives, educational, research, and quality improvement efforts. He/she performs as a peer role model for professional behavior and in demonstrating superior expertise in the delivery and supervision of nursing care, and oversight of all functions of the department. Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.A./B.S
- Active California R.N. license
- Healthcare Provider BLS Upon hire
- Healthcare Provider ACLS upon hire
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- 1 – 2 YRS. MANAGERIAL Experience preferred
- 5+ YEARS Clinical Experience
- Able to provide safe, proficient nursing care for all critical care patient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, medical, surgical, correctional, and geriatric.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Pay range: $59.24 - $79.73 hourly
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
