Position Summary: Responsible for 24 hour operation of assigned patient care unit(s). This includes the assessment, planning, provision and evaluation of patient care and nursing services for the assigned area of responsibility. Participates in the assessment, planning, provision and evaluation of nursing services within the PCS department; provides on call shift supervision coverage as assigned.

Experience

Required: 3-5 years related nursing experience

Preferred: Previous supervisory nursing experience

Education

Required: Bachelors degree in nursing required

Preferred: Masters degree in nursing or health related field

License and Credentials

Required: NJ State Nursing License

Preferred: BLS certification

Skills

Required: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, critical thinking, analytical skills and basic computer skills

Populations Served

Child: Infant (0-1); Toddler (1-3); Preschool (3-6); School Age (6-12); Adolescent (12-18);

Adult: Early Adult (19-45); Middle Adult (46-59); Late Adult (60-79); Late, Late Adult (Over 80)

HOURS: 80 hours per pay period
