Job Summary and Qualifications

The Chest Pain Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and maintenance of a comprehensive Chest Pain program that complies with national standards for quality of care for Chest Pain patients as dictated by the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology and The Joint Commission.

What qualifications you will need:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required. 

MSN or healthcare related Master’s degree preferred or obtain within 3 years of hire. 

Licensure: Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Nevada.

 Experience: Minimum – Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience in a cardiovascular care setting. Preferred – previous critical care experience with an emphasis on cardiology preferred. Provided leadership in or previously lead a Structural Heart Program Special Qualifications: 

1. Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

 2. Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data

 3. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Office

 4. Ability to apply critical thinking skills for process improvement and decision making. 

5. All required education elements for facility programs and certifications, or obtain within 2 years of hire.
