Longview Regional Medical Center has an opening for a RN full time in our Emergency Department-A minimum of two (2) years of critical care experience. ! Job Duties:
- Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
- Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
- Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals
- May be required to float when needed by the hospital
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
- Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
- ACLS and PALS certification required within 90 days of hire; ENCP and TNCC certifications are required within 6 months with facility program.
- -A minimum of two (2) years of critical care experience.
