Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Location: Watertown, WI

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner medical center in Watertown, WI, as part of their dynamic Emergency Department team. This full-time, night shift position offers competitive compensation, a generous sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver swift and efficient care to patients of all ages experiencing various medical emergencies.
• Perform comprehensive triage assessments, initiate appropriate interventions, and closely monitor patient responses.
• As needed, administer medications and treatments, including emergency procedures and life-saving interventions.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families during stressful situations.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient care in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in emergency nursing practice and actively participate in professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Must-haves:
  • Associate of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse Licensure
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Current ACLS certification for Healthcare Providers (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Current PALS certification for Healthcare Providers (or obtain within 1 year of hire)
• Nice-to-haves:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Three years of current Emergency Room RN experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Trauma experience, including current TNCC certification
  • Pediatric experience, including current ENPC certification
  • Current NIHSS Certification

Schedule:

• Full-time: 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period)
• Shift: 12-hour Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekends: Every third weekend
