About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room **Job Specialty:** Emergency Room (ER) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, flexible scheduling **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 3 years **License:** Required **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS **Must-Have:** - Experience with both pediatric and adult patient populations - Experience with Cerner charting system - Ability to float to Pediatric ER as needed - Excellent EKG interpretation skills - Willingness to work weekends and holidays **Job Description:** - Provide care in a high-volume emergency room setting, catering to approximately 325 visits per day. - Serve a diverse patient population with conditions ranging from minor injuries to critical illnesses, including respiratory failure, asthma, abdominal pain, fractures, substance abuse, stroke alerts, and STEMI cases. - Work alongside a team-oriented and traveler-friendly staff, emphasizing a no-gossip culture and mutual respect among all team members, including EMS. - Function in a fast-paced environment requiring advanced critical care skills, including procedural sedation and STEMI curriculum. - Participate in a comprehensive orientation program with ongoing education to ensure competency in all required areas. - Engage in collaborative practice with mid-level providers, ER techs, CNAs, LVNs, and designated pediatric doctors. - Maintain professional standards, emphasizing patient safety and quality of care.
