About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Emergency Room (ER) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12H Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 3 years **License:** Required to Submit **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS **Must-Have:** Experience with Cerner **Job Description:** - Unit features 21 beds, fast-tracked with mid-levels and LVNs. - Bed ratios are 1:4, or 1:2 for ICU patients. - Supported by shift managers, resource nurses, and ED techs (EMTs or aides from other units). - Four weekends shifts in a 4-week schedule; nights include Friday and Saturday, days include Saturday and Sunday. - Holiday requirement: 1 major and 1 minor. - Navy blue scrub required; jacket and undershirts must be navy, white, or black. - Phillips telemetry system and ventilators available. - Hospitalist or intensivist available in-house; only MDs in ER. - No IV team, but 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy (with Omnicell). - Self-scheduling available but finalized by manager; schedules are 4 weeks long. - Floating may occur between two facilities located 6.5 miles apart, with notice. - Floor-specific orientation includes two shifts at primary campus and one at the other. - Expected to handle typical ER patients and possible MedSurg Tele holds. - Primary Stroke Center designation and rarely holds psych patients longer than 12 hours. - Must be team-oriented and treat this as the primary job commitment. - Hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract. - Cerner is the charting system used. **Additional Notes:** - The role requires a strong focus on teamwork and flexibility. - Candidates must be able to adapt to varying patient loads and occasional changes in job location within the specified facilities.
