About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Emergency Room (ER) **Job Duration:** 12 Weeks **Shift:** Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 1 year; unit accepts first-time travelers **License:** GA License or Compact required **Certifications:** Required: ACLS, BLS; Highly Preferred: PALS, Pediatric experience **Must-Have:** Experience with Epic Systems **Job Description:** - Work in an emergency department providing care to patients from infants to geriatrics. - Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3. - Must be comfortable and experienced with pediatric patients as ER sees all ages. - Required to float within the skillset, possibly to sister facilities. - Schedule Requirements: - Requested time off (RTO) is limited to a maximum of 7 days, with no guarantee for blocked scheduling. - Work every other weekend on average. - If one major holiday falls within the assignment, the expectation is to work it. If two major holidays fall within the period, both must be worked. If three, then two must be worked. - Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year’s Day. - Must provide full compliance to start on time; non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedules. - Orientation includes 13 hours of non-billable time. - Flu vaccine status is unknown, though the COVID-19 vaccine is not required. - The candidate must submit core items and schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract to ensure an on-time start. - Candidates must have two supervisory references, preferably managers or above, at the time of submission. This position allows for local candidates, and all travelers must complete a successful assignment outside of previous facilities before rebooking in a new location.
