About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Emergency Room (ER) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12H Evenings starting at 2PM, with 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, and 2 out of 3 major holidays **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years **License:** Required **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** - Cerner EMR experience preferred - Strong, thorough documentation skills **Job Description:** - Work in a 33-bed emergency room equipped for comprehensive care and treatment. - Average patient count is 210 with a nurse-patient ratio of 1:4. - Handle routine ER patients; transfer STEMIs, hemorrhagic strokes, and pediatric patients elsewhere. - Utilize GE telemetry with central monitor stations in both nurses' stations. - Provide patient documentation following EMTALA, with emphasis on stabilization and treatment. - Collaborate with a 24/7 team of charge nurses, RT, and pharmacy professionals. - Work alongside ER techs with EMT, MA, or CNA experience to perform tech duties and EKGs. - No floating outside of the ER; participate in up to 6 shifts with a preceptor for floor-specific orientation. - Wear navy blue scrubs, including any scrub jackets, with undershirts in navy, white, or black. - Maintain readiness for manager interviews; immediate offer acceptance is encouraged. High volume of backouts and declined offers. Note: Hospital self-cancellations may occur up to 3 times per contract, covering partial or full shifts. Some holidays and weekend shifts required.
