About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Intensive Care Unit (ICU) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of ICU experience **License:** Current valid RN license **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** - Experience as a Code Blue Command RN and with phlebotomy - Meditech experience is a plus - Experience with titrating drips for medications such as Levo, Neo, Propofol, Fentanyl, Precedex, Insulin, and TNK **Job Description:** - Provide care in an 8-bed ICU with Ratios of 1:2-3. - Manage patients with common diagnoses such as Sepsis, Stroke (TNK), DKA, PNA, ETOH withdrawal, and post-cath recovery. - ICU RNs are responsible for running codes in the facility; other nurses support during such events. - Engage in primary care nursing with telemetry attached to the unit. - Collaborate with a 24/7 hospitalist and utilize RT equipment. - Work in a team with support like Care Support/Unit Secretary/CNA when necessary. - Participate in a holiday rotation and work every other weekend. - Float to MedSurg, Tele, ER as needed, handling a full patient load. - Wear professional scrubs in any color. **Additional Notes:** - Department-specific orientation includes two 12-hour shifts with documentation resources. - Scheduling is based on census, ensuring at least one nurse is always on staff. - The facility values travel experience highly.
