Shift: PRN - Tier I - Minimum 1 shift/pay period, 1 weekend shift/month based on staffing needs, 1 holiday/year

Department/Unit Summary

ICU is a 19-bed unit with a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio. We care for a variety of patients that includes, but are not limited to, post-cardiac arrest, post-PCI, respiratory failure, shock, intra-aortic balloon pump, sepsis, multi-organ failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, and cerebrovascular accident post-thrombolytic administration. We are a closed ICU and have a dedicated intensivist as well as resident physicians that we work closely with to provide care to patients that is the most current evidence-based practice. What sets us apart from other units is the multidisciplinary teamwork with all of us having the same goal: provide safe, quality, and compassionate care close to home!

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Additional requirements include:

· American Heart Association Basic Life Support

· Experience in clinical area preferred

· American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire
