Alto Health Care Staffing is seeking skilled nurses to join our Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) in beautiful Warsaw, WI. Enjoy the charm of a close-knit community while working in a state-of-the-art facility.
General Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day nursing care, including trach vent patients and comprehensive assessments.
- Work in a 20-bed medical surgical critical care step-down unit with RN ratios of 3-4 patients per nurse during day and evening shifts, and 4 patients per nurse on night shifts.
- Care for patients with a variety of medical/surgical diagnoses, following provider orders, documenting assessments and care plans.
- Utilize critical thinking and delegate tasks to nursing assistants as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with the care team, including social workers, providers, charge nurses, CNAs, unit clerks, and other nursing staff.
- EPIC computer charting
- Pyxis for medication dispensing
- Rover Med Scanners
- Minimum of 2 years experience in telemetry nursing
- Wisconsin or Compact State RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- 36 hours per week
- Required to work every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- May float to acute care areas within scope
- 20-bed unit
- Nurse to patient ratio: 4:1 on night shift
