About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery **Job Specialty:** Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** 2-4 years preferred **License:** Valid CA license required **Certifications:** ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, NRP **Must-Have:** - IV Start - Circulate skills - Flu vaccination (required) **Job Description:** - Work in a 22-room, 28-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:2 & 1:4 in postpartum. - Utilize EPIC Stork for charting and Accudose for medication administration. - Work alongside an in-house intensivist, hospitalist, and anesthesiologist 24/7. - Wear wine-colored scrubs. - Operate special equipment including Belmont Rapid Infuser, Phillips Fetal Monitor, CADD epidural pump, Baxter IV pumps, ATOM cribs and warmers, AVE2 birthing bed, and OBED within the unit. - Provide care for childbearing women, well newborns, neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults. - First-time travelers are accepted, and the candidate should be flexible with scheduling. - Perform an on-call shift once every four weeks for 3x12s contracts. No on-call shifts for 4x12s contracts. - Flu vaccinations are required with exemptions accepted on a case-by-case basis. - Candidates may float within the hospital as needed. - Modules required and completed pre-start are not billable and vary by specialty. Note: The traveler may be called off or placed on call once per pay period, with a 60-minute callback requirement.
