About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF) **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Day/Evening: 7 AM-3 PM or 3 PM-11 PM **Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 1 year of LTC/SNF experience required, preference for 2 years **License:** Valid RN License required **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) required **Must-Have:** Experience in LTC/SNF settings **Job Description:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents with various diagnoses including diabetes, COPD, post-stroke, heart disease, fractures, dementia, Alzheimer's, and multiple chronic conditions. - Perform medical procedures such as medication administration, wound care, ostomy management, and tube feeding. - Conduct vitals and blood sugar checks, and manage blood sugar levels. - Responsible for occasional IV antibiotic administration and potential PICC line management. - Attend daily huddles and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, OT, SLP, Case Managers, Social Workers, and Dieticians. - Manage respiratory treatments and equipment including CPAP and nasal cannulas. - Use EMR system (Point Click Care) in conjunction with paper charting for documentation. - Follow facility protocols and demonstrate professionalism in dress and behavior. - Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to float between floors as needed. - Work every other weekend and potentially on holidays as part of the schedule rotation. - Maintain a professional appearance with compliance to dress code guidelines.
