About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility **Job Duration:** 15 weeks **Shift:** - Evenings: Weekdays 1:45 PM - 10:15 PM - Nights: Saturdays and Sundays 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 1 year **License:** RN License **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) **Must-Have:** Open to first-time travelers; IV experience preferred but not required. **Job Description:** - Provide exceptional nursing care in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility setting. - Responsible for assessments, vital signs, tube feedings, and wound care, including measurement. - Perform blood glucose tests, lab draws, and specimen collection; conduct Foley/catheter care and manage ostomies and JP drains. - Conduct trach care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs). - Administer breathing treatments, including nebulizers and inhalers; occasional care for Cpap or Bipap. - Work efficiently within an interdisciplinary team consisting of case managers, social workers, and dieticians. - Ensure compliance with state requirements, maintaining a ratio of one RN or LPN per hall in the facility. - No IV starts; manage if patients arrive with a PICC line (rare). - Utilize ECS charting system for documentation. - Participate in one full shift orientation on the unit. - Flexible to work across different halls within the facility as needed. - Adhere to the dress code and wear appropriate attire during shifts. - Attend to weekend and every other holiday requirements as part of the contract. - Collaborate with the charge nurse for lab draws and specimen collection. - Engage professionally and effectively with the 24-hour on-call physician service for after-hour consultations. - No requirement to attend acute inpatient rehab team conferences. - Scheduling managed by the unit manager; blocks may be considered but not guaranteed.
