About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Medical Surgical - Orthopedic **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years required **License:** Registered Nurse License **Certifications:** BLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** EPIC experience required **Job Description:** - Provide nursing care to medical surgical and orthopedic patient populations. - Monitor telemetry in a centralized unit. - Work on a 35-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. - Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed. - Collaborate with a free-floating charge nurse, patient care technicians, and patient transporters. - Utilize a house discharge nurse that floats across all departments. - Attend on-site orientation and complete required modules. - Enjoy access to discounted meals and local hotel rates. - Wear any scrub color without logos. - Document patient care and activities using the EPIC system. - Block scheduling available on a case-by-case basis. - First-time travelers are accepted; however, the facility has a 50-mile radius rule. - Former permanent staff must be gone for 1 year before returning as a traveler. - Complete all required modules as part of the orientation.
