About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Medical/Surgical **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 11.5 Hour Rotating (19:00-07:00 for 12 Hour PM-AM or 07:00-19:00 for 12 Hour AM-PM) **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum years of experience needed **License:** Valid Registered Nurse License **Certifications:** Relevant certifications required for specialty **Must-Have:** - Experience with chest tubes, various tubes, and drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone - Ability to manage lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients - Proficiency in handling tracheostomies/laryngectomies - Telemetry experience - Skills in handling complex wounds - Experience in the care and maintenance of central lines and conducting blood draws **Job Description:** - Work in a 21-bed Medical-Surgical Neuro unit focusing on neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, and care for patients in a Primary Stroke Center. - Focus on Traumatic Brain Injury and spinal cord injury cases. - Provide care for surgical cases including tumor resections (both brain and spine), spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer. - Utilize skills in a Level IV Epilepsy center, caring for patients with implanted electrodes and scalp leads. - Participate in the care for patients in the only Epilepsy Center in the region.
