About The Position
**Job Title:** RN - Acute Care Float - Night **Job Specialty:** RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night Shift (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) **Guaranteed Hours:** **Experience:** Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience required; completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisite clinical hours is required. **License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS **Must-Have:** Ability to read, write, and speak the English language; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; capability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment; excellent time management and critical thinking skills. **Job Description:** - Serve as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers to provide individualized high-quality, safe patient care. - Perform the Nursing Process, ensuring care is evidence-based, individualized, and outcome-focused. - Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that adapts service delivery to reflect cultural diversity and population-specific characteristics. - Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and significant others through various communication methods such as bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds. - Coordinate safe, quality patient care documentation and encourage a respectful and inclusive clinical environment. - Participate in and support performance improvement activities, including research and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care. - Complete all professional competency assessments and required education. - Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other professional nurses, modeling professional nursing practice. - Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement within nursing units. - Proactively plan for patient care across the care continuum, participating in protocol and procedure development. - Support efficient use of human and material resources. **Note:** This position involves working every other weekend and covering two major and two minor holidays.
