**Job Title:** RN Clinical Nurse - Acute Care Float **Job Specialty:** RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Day, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, Every other weekend, 2 major, 2 minor holidays **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Less than 1 year; completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with required clinical hours preferred **License:** Registered Nurse License (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHS **Must-Have:** - Ability to read, write, and speak the English language - Basic computer skills - Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills - Customer service skills - Ability to function in a fast-paced environment - Excellent time management skills - Strong critical thinking skills **Job Description:** - Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in clinical care using evidence-based practice. - Provide patient-centered care that is adapted to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity. - Coordinate care through effective interdisciplinary communication and promote professional care delivery. - Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other nurses and staff, ensuring a qualified future workforce. - Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing. - Participate in the development of protocols and procedures aimed at achieving best practice outcomes. - Comply with all organizational policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. - Uphold clinical competencies and legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements and standards. - Proactively plan for patient care across the care continuum. - Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources. - Perform other duties as assigned.
