About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Medical-Surgical **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience **License:** Active RN license **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) **Must-Have:** - Willingness to work weekends as assigned - Ability to work with admission/discharge high turnover daily - No history of attendance concerns **Job Description:** - Work in a 32-bed unit with a strong team of 45 staff members - Collaborate with day shift Manager, Clinical Coordinator or Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, 2-3 PCTs, and 1 Unit Secretary - Night shift includes 1 Clinical Coordinator or Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, 2-3 PCTs, and 1 Unit Secretary until 11 PM - Maintain patient ratios of 6:1 - Utilize standard nursing equipment, BiPAP (Stable), Mid/Flow, PD, Heparin Gtts, and Phillips Cardiac Monitors - Operate within the Meditech 6.0 EMR system - Primarily manage cardio-pulmonary patients with potential for general medical patients - Monitor patients for cardiac needs, though we do not typically treat arrhythmias - Accept stable COVID-19 patients as necessary - Embrace a positive, can-do attitude and demonstrate strong teamwork and self-motivation - Possess a positive, outgoing attitude and a good understanding of the importance of HCAHP - Be open to floating to similar levels of care, such as medical-surgical or potentially step-down units - Wear navy scrubs with any closed toe and heel shoe - Work every other weekend and during major holidays - Engage in a collaborative work environment with strong relationships with physicians - Benefit from excellent PCT/CNA/Nurse Extern support on all shifts
