About The Position
**Job Title:** RN - Neonatal ICU Nurse **Job Specialty:** Registered Nurse / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Night (7 PM - 7 AM) **Guaranteed Hours:** N/A **Experience:** Less than 1 year; Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with required clinical hours preferred **License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) **Must-Have:** - Ability to read, write, and speak the English language - Basic computer skills - Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills - Customer service skills **Job Description:** - Serve as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure individualized, high-quality, safe patient care. - Perform the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; identification of outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation) using evidence-based practice and critical thinking to achieve optimal patient care outcomes. - Provide relationship-based patient-centered care adapting to population-specific characteristics and cultural diversity. - Partner with patients and significant others through appropriate communication methods to make patient goals the focus of the care plan. - Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care using inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods. - Demonstrate teamwork and fiscal responsibility while promoting recruitment and retention of healthcare team members. - Participate in performance improvement and research activities to promote safe, quality patient care and support shared governance. - Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education. - Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other professional nurses and students to ensure a qualified future workforce. - Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement by evaluating patient care products through value analysis. - Uphold all healthcare system policies, standards, and clinical competencies, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. - Proactively plan patient care across the care continuum, participating in developing protocols and procedures for optimal outcomes. - Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources. - Perform other duties as assigned. - Shift includes working 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period and covering 2 major and 2 minor holidays.
