About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** NICU **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) **Guaranteed Hours:** **Experience:** 2+ years of NICU experience **License:** Valid State License (pending license may be accepted if issued before start date) **Certifications:** BLS **Must-Have:** NICU IV experience, recent trach and vent experience **Job Description:** - Responsible for providing the highest level of care for premature and ill newborns. - Must have experience in critical care settings, including trach and vent management. - Work every other weekend and every other holiday. - Should be prepared to float to other critical care units based on facility needs. - Provide care coordination for conditions and associated complications such as coagulation defects, congenital heart defects, and respiratory distress. - Engage with a full range of pediatric medical subspecialists, pediatric surgical subspecialists, and pediatric anesthesiologists on site. - Perform complex surgical procedures for repairing congenital or acquired conditions. - Address conditions including prematurity, gastrointestinal disorders, genetic/metabolic disorders, pulmonary hypertension, renal disorders, and sepsis. - Must adhere to the facility's attendance policy by making up missed shifts within the same week. - Expected to work with varied patient-to-nurse ratios, typically 1:2 depending on acuity levels. - Open to block scheduling; however, facilities may not guarantee this. - Compliance requirements due the Monday prior to the start date. - Must submit a professional photo upon contract signature. **Additional Information:** - Facility is a teaching and Level 1 Trauma Center. - Working in a non-smoking environment is mandatory. - Return staff policy requires a minimum gap of 1 year for returning nurses.
