RN/Nursing Coordinator (Mobile Med Unit) (Substance Abuse) from Diversant

Innova Solutions is seeking a RN/Nursing Coordinator (Substance Abuse) for a clients Mobile Medication Unit in the Bronx.

Position: Direct Hire/Full Time
Location: Bronx - will entail some travel throughout the area as needed.

• This is a Direct Hire, Full-time position
• MUST HAVE current NYS RN License
• Ideally looking for Infection Control Certificate and BCLS completion card
• Any experience working in Substance Abuse disorder treatment programs is a plus.
• Bilingual - English/Spanish is a plus
• W2 ONLY! No C2C/1099 will be considered.

Description

• Provides nursing care that supports patients in treatment and recovery.
• Administers medication adhering to institutional policy/procedures and federal/state regulatory standards.
• Monitors the transfer of all controlled substances and supplies to and from the clinic/MMU.
• Maintains medication dispensing unit to ensure efficient and accurate dispensing.
• Assess patient for signs of altered mental status prior to dispensing medication and assess a patient for medication side effects. Communicates, as needed, with the prescribing professional.
• Provides health teaching and counseling to patients.
• Documents and maintains patient medical records adhering to organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for ordering, delivering, tracking, and monitoring all controlled substances.
• Responsible for ensuring all reports required by organizations and regulatory agencies are complete, accurate, secured, and readily available for review.
• In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, SUD Services, ensures adequate MMU nursing coverage.
• Makes recommendations on matters concerning the physical plant operations, workflow, and resources.
• Treats patients in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity, confidentiality, and patient rights.
• Performs any additional duties, tasks, and responsibilities that may be assigned, as needed.

Requirements

• Current NYS RN license.
• Current NYS Infection Control Certificate and BCLS Completion Card is ideal
• Minimum two years' experience as an RN required, preferably in a substance use disorder treatment program.
• Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Office, Electronic Health Records, and Outlook programs).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interact with service recipients of diverse social, cultural, and economic groups.
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Pay is $92K+/year
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
