Here you will work as a focused service line team that emulates a specialty hospital experience resulting in increased physician and OR team satisfaction, improved clinical outcomes and a decrease in serious safety events. OR team members will be guaranteed their hours in this model, reducing uncertainty and increasing the availability of PTO for its intended use. Responsibilities

Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.

• Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
• Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
• Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of
  hire.
