About The Position
MUST HAVE ACTIVE ALASKA LICENSE AT TIME OF SUBMISSION MUST HAVE FLU VACCINATIONS PRIOR TO START ER EXPERIENCE PREFERRED Accountabilities 1. Provide clinical services, including working with providers, clinicstaff and management to ensure excellent quality of care and services,efficient utilization of resources and the compliance with SEARHCstandards. 2. Will provide leadership and direction to the clinic staff ensuringefficient operation of all aspects of the clinic to include the front desk andpatient care to all patients. 3. Will maintain medication inventory and supplies not on the Warehouse PARsystem. 4. Will ensure that the necessary quality control checks are done with thePoint of Care tests. 5. Will clearly and correctly document all care and services provided inthe clinic, completing nurse duties professionally and in a timely manner. 6. Will oversee the opening and closing of their provider clinics. 7. Will clearly and correctly document all care and services provided;completing nurse duties professionally and in a timely manner. 8. Will assist providers and other staff as needed, anticipating the needsof these individuals to ensure efficient and quality patient care. 9. Will communicate effectively with other departments in order to be aneffective resource for their patients, providers and fellow clinic staff. Position Complexities Maintainsskill sets, annual competencies, certifications, and participates inin-services and educational programs within the Clinic, hospital, and/orcommunity as assigned; completes all mandatory training; attends andparticipates in staff meetings; adheres to infection control policy andprocedures. Maintains a clean and safe working environment including adequatesupplies and upkeep of unit and equipment, reporting any defective or missingequipment and safety hazards; refers un-resolved problems with patients/coworkers/visitors todepartment manager or administrative manager for resolution; addresses employeeconcerns consistent with Human Resources Policy. Position Qualifications Education Education necessary to obtain RN License Licenseand Certifications: Active, unrestricted RN licensure, Alaska licensure Basic Life Support certification Experience: 1 year acute care experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of: Nursing process and the ability to apply this in the working environment Customer service principles Safety and infection control principles Skilled in: Completing assessments, anticipation of needs, and specimen collection Use of equipment such as computers and medical equipment Effective oral and written communications skills Ability to: Multi-task and work independently in fast paced environment Team-player Willing to teach when appropriate Problem-solve and use critical thinking skills to develop and maintaingood working relations with other staff and departments Willingness to ask for help when encountering a new or challengingsituation
