Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license or a current multistate compact license and possess an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

Department/Unit Summary

Phase 1 recovery – recover patient for 30 minutes to one hour (depending on type of anesthesia given), then send to Phase 2 and give hand off to another nurse.

Phase 2 recovery – go over discharge paperwork with family member, give patient snack and medicine. Free to discharge if they meet requirements.
