About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 07:00-19:00 **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience **License:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) **Must-Have:** - ACLS/BLS certification - Cardiac knowledge preferred - Knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips **Job Description:** - Work within a 30-bed unit with a patient ratio of 5-6:1 - Collaborate with unit clerks, PCTs, and nursing supervisors - Utilize equipment such as Welch Allyn vital signs devices, Novameter glucose monitors, Philips Telemetry, and MP2s - Document using the Meditech-HCA version system - Employ the WOW with med drawers and PyxisES dispensing system - Follow scheduling requirements, including working equivalent of every other weekend - Float to other M/S areas, including general MS, Ortho, PCU, and M/S surgical with oncology, as per skill mix needs - Perform bedside and hourly rounding, and communicate known needs to PCTs effectively - Engage in documentation of telemetry application, acknowledging rhythm strips each shift - Adhere to the "No Pass Zone" policy for bed, call lights, and IV alarms - Follow the dress code of navy scrubs for RNs, with the option for approved undershirts We offer a supportive environment with experienced Charge Nurses, shared governance, and recognition programs such as Daisy and Bee Awards, and iHEAL nominations.
