About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Progressive Care/Oncology **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night shift, 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Guaranteed Hours:** Information not provided **Experience:** Minimum of 1.5 years in Stepdown/Progressive Care Units; Oncology and Sickle Cell experience preferred **License:** Any state RN license is acceptable; temporary licenses available **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, Chemotherapy certified preferred **Must-Have:** - Experience with EPIC - Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to starting - Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips **Job Description:** - Provide nursing care on a mixed acuity 35-bed medical and radiation oncology unit. - Administer chemotherapy with ONC Certification. - Experience with blood products, drips, PCAs, wounds, and more. - Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but may range up to 1:5-6. - Must float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units as needed. - Expected to work every other weekend/holiday. - Adhere to the facility's policies on scheduling and potential shift cancellations due to census fluctuations. - Completion of module hours during orientation and annually, as required. - Must wear navy blue scrubs. **Additional Requirements:** - Must complete initial lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam within required timeframes. - Compliance with flu vaccine requirements, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons. - Module hours are self-reported to the manager. **Work Environment:** - The unit accommodates both Med Surg and Advanced Care patients. - Nurses may be assigned to support various units, including high-risk respiratory/COVID treatment areas. **Other Information:** - Floating may include travel to closely located campus facilities within a specified mile radius. - Request for Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with the initial application, subject to the manager's discretion. This position does not require COVID-19 vaccination.
