About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Step Down Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00, every other weekend or as needed Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Experience: Minimum 1.5 years specializing in CVICU post-orientation License: Current RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; CCRN preferred Must-Have: Strong critical thinking skills Job Description: - Work in a facility equipped with a regional brain center, cancer center, heart center, lung center, orthopedics, general & vascular surgery, surgical weight loss, women's center, and Level 3 NICU. - Engage with a 32-bed emergency department, 29-bed inpatient rehab, 15-bed surgical suite, and imaging facilities. - Be part of an 8-bed unit with patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 1:1. - Operate specialized equipment such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT. - Use Cerner for electronic health records management. - Serve adult and geriatric patient populations. - Provide care for common diagnoses including CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures. - Participate in scheduled rotation float requirements. - Wear professional scrubs in any color. Orientation provided twice monthly.
