About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Progressive Care **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 11.5 hours rotating (19:00-07:00 12 Hour PM-AM or 07:00-19:00 12 Hour AM-PM) **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience **License:** NH RN License or Compact License (Proof of State Residency Required) **Certifications:** BLS (AHA Only) **Must-Have:** - Experience with chest tubes - Experience with tubes and drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone - Familiarity with CPAP/BiPAP - Experience with lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients - Experience with tracheostomies/laryngectomies - Telemetry skills - Experience with complex wounds - Central lines care and maintenance and blood draws - Step down experience **Job Description:** - Work in a state-of-the-art 16-bed progressive care unit - Care for medically complex patients on the hospital medicine service - Provide a dynamic learning and team-based environment for both new and experienced care providers - Inpatient medicine care involves complex patient needs and high acuity - RN patient ratios: 3:1 both days and nights - Charge nurse typically takes no assignment - Two nursing assistants on the unit **Preferred Experience:** - Arterial line management
