About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Pediatric Ortho **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** 2+ years in pediatric surgical orthopedic experience **License:** CA License **Certifications:** BLS, PALS **Must-Have:** - CA License in hand or an ETA for when it will post - 2+ years of pediatric surgical ortho experience - BLS and PALS certifications - Ability to work 2 out of the 3 holidays - All requested time off must be submitted upfront **Job Description:** Join our team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Orthopedics. This role involves working in a 42-bed surgical/ortho unit, focusing on pre- and post-op care for surgical, neurology, craniofacial, urology, and orthopedic patients. Responsibilities include: - Providing care for patients with scoliosis, sports injuries, shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee, and ankle problems - Managing traumatic injuries and chronic conditions, such as cerebral palsy or other neuromuscular problems - Supporting rehabilitation, primarily for traumatic brain injury patients - Working with a 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio - Floating within the hospital and satellite locations - Completing mandatory modules before starting (modules require 6-8 hours and are non-billable) - Participating in 12 hours of orientation Join us if you are committed to providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
