About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** PICU **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night - 12x3 - 7 PM - 7 AM **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of previous Clinical Pediatric experience and 2 years of PICU experience required **License:** NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license **Certifications:** - BLS (AHA) - Required - PALS - Preferred **Must-Have:** - Minimum 2 years of previous Clinical Pediatric experience - Minimum 2 years of PICU experience - BLS and PALS certifications **Job Description:** - Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care. - Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patients' needs. - Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. - Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. - Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. - Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care. - Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. - Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. - Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. - Fulfill float requirements by being available to assist throughout the facility, including being a resource nurse or extra set of hands on any required floor. - Adhere to schedule requirements, including working every other weekend as needed and being on-call occasionally. - Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards, and contribute to a safe and effective working environment.
