**Job Title:** RN - Acute Care Float - Nights **Job Specialty:** Registered Nurse / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), every other weekend, 2 major holidays, 2 minor holidays **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Less than one year; completion of an accredited nursing school with requisite clinical hours preferred; direct patient care experience preferred **License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) **Must-Have:** - Ability to read, write, and speak English - Basic computer skills - Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills - Excellent time management and critical thinking skills - Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively and respectfully - Understanding of evidence-based practice **Job Description:** - Perform the nursing process by assessing, diagnosing, identifying outcomes, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical care. - Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that is culturally sensitive and population-specific. - Collaborate effectively with patients and their families, keeping them informed and making their goals the focus of care. - Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care and promote a professional care delivery model. - Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration, contributing to performance improvement and shared governance. - Engage in ongoing professional development and competency assessment, and mentor other nurses and staff members. - Promote evidence-based practice and nursing research, participating in activities like value analysis for patient care products. - Proactively plan patient care and collaborate with healthcare team members to develop protocols and procedures. - Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources to achieve best practice outcomes.
