About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 x 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, winter holidays required **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** 1+ year of experience in related specialty **License:** NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license **Certifications:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred **Must-Have:** - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing - Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required, Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Proficiency in English (Read, Write, Speak) **Job Description:** - Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care. - Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs. - Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. - Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plan of care for patients through initial and ongoing assessments. - Initiate assessment based on patient problems or needs, physician’s medical diagnosis, and functional health framework. - Perform therapeutic nursing interventions. - Manage care of patients and document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. - Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. - Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model. - Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned. - Note: No on-call requirement. Holiday schedule includes Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve.
