• Department: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Schedule: Three 12 hour shifts per week. 6:30am - 7:00pm - 1 weekend shift every 5 weeks

The Ascension St. Vincent's Cardiac Holding Recovery Department is a specialized unit within Ascension St. Vincent's hospital or healthcare facility. This department is dedicated to providing high-quality care for patients who have undergone cardiac procedures or surgeries, such as angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, open-heart surgery, pacemaker implantation, or other cardiac interventions.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
