*Certifications Required: BLS*
- # of Beds: 28
- Nurse:Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4 // Nights: 1:5
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Oncology and Trauma
- Are RN's required to titrate drips?: Yes
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Chemotherapy occasionally. If you hang chemo you need to be chemo certified- but not required to work the floor
- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes
- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes- 1:10
- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RN's required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Tele techs will interpret, RNs should have some tele awareness
- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1900, 1830-0700 //
- Weekend Requirements: Every other
- Holiday Requirements: Negotiated
- Floating Requirements: Yes, to same level of care
Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided?: Navy Blue
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2- 12 hour shifts on the unit
- Additional Notes: Attributes that help make a nurse successful on this unit are not afraid to ask questions, being kind, and teamwork
Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
