Job Summary and Qualifications

The Special Procedures Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing treatments and procedures in Cath Lab and the Special Procedures unit.

· You will collect specimens for testing.

· You will assist physician during procedure. You will maintain and stock Special Procedure area.

· You will be a resource for Surgical Scheduling relative to bookings.

· You will provide relevant and complete documentation on patient related activity.

· You will educate patient and family related to procedure, medications, follow-up home care.

· You will assume responsibility to stay current with available training and/or literature to ensure quality patient care in Special Procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Nurse
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
