I.Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for:
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current temporary or permanent WV RN license. Employment in this position is contingent upon successful licensure as a RN. Current Healthcare BLS validation preferred.
Education: Graduate of Registered Nursing program.
Experience: Two or more years of hospital nursing is preferred. Alzheimer’s/Dementia training as required by OHFLAC
regulations preferred.
Safety: Participate in all required educational and competency offerings related to safety, including resident safety activities. Agree to abide by the SaintFrancisHospitalimplementation plans for the Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals. Provides feedback concerning any resident safety issues identified within the hospital.
Special qualifications: Healthcare BLS validation within 60 days of employment, with revalidation per AHA guidelines. Alzheimer’s/Dementia training as required by OHFLAC regulations required within 30 days of employment, then annually thereafter. Experience with computers is preferred.
Hours of work: Able to work scheduled hours as dictated by business needs. Includes rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime hours. Subject to flexing and floating.
Attendance: Consistent, predictable attendance, including punctuality, is required.
Mandatory Committee Membership: As assigned by the Director of Nursing and/or Clinical Coordinator
- Providing optimal, safe, and effective nursing care to the skilled nursing resident utilizing the nursing process, hospital policies and procedures, and professional nursing standards.
- Demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment and leadership in the daily planning of resident care.
- Demonstrating knowledge of SNUStatemandated activities and processes.
- Demonstrating knowledge of SkilledNursingStateand Regulatory requirements; reports issues timely
