Shift: Full-Time (Monday - Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and lead comprehensive training programs and in-service sessions for nursing staff.
• Oversee orientation programs and ensure staff is up-to-date with best practices and protocols.
• Collaborate with nursing coordinators to provide support across all shifts.
• Manage all aspects of infection prevention, including surveillance, reporting, and staff education.
• Ensure compliance with infection control regulations and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Lead infection control meetings and present data to facility leadership.
• Support the facility's Quality Assurance (QA) program, ensuring high nursing standards and preparedness for regulatory surveys.
• Conduct audits on resident care outcomes, document findings, and implement improvement plans.
• Investigate incidents, report findings, and collaborate on corrective actions.
• Work closely with the Medical Department to develop and maintain effective emergency response protocols.
• Regularly evaluate emergency equipment and ensure staff readiness in emergency situations.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Valid Infection Control Certificate.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Strong knowledge of infection control practices and nursing regulations.
