We are seeking passionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Cardiology Medical Step-Down Unit. This 28-bed Telemetry Stepdown/6 South unit specializes in the recovery of patients following vascular, electrophysiology procedures, and more. Our unit is perfect for nurses aiming to transition to an ICU setting, offering a challenging yet rewarding environment.

We are seeking passionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Cardiology Medical Step-Down Unit. This 28-bed Telemetry Stepdown/6 South unit specializes in the recovery of patients following vascular, electrophysiology procedures, and more. Our unit is perfect for nurses aiming to transition to an ICU setting, offering a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Patient Care: Perform holistic assessments and deliver evidence-based care to patients with conditions like acute MI, cardiac arrhythmias, and heart failure.
- Collaborative Care Planning: Work with patients and families to develop tailored care plans, ensuring effective communication and continuity of care.
- Critical Thinking in Care Delivery: Provide specialized care, including titration of intravenous medications and conscious sedation for cardioversions, with a focus on safety and infection control.
- Professional Development: Engage in opportunities for learning and growth, including ACLS certification, ECG interpretation, and leadership roles within the team.
- Education: AD or Diploma nurses, with BSN completion within 5 years of hire for those hired after January 2010. MSN or DNP a plus.
- Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills, with a dedication to providing culturally specific patient care.
- Licensure: Current Ohio RN licensure, BLS certification, and ACLS certification within 6 months of hire. Specialty certification encouraged.
