About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year of Telemetry experience License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Proficiency in Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation - Experience with Respiratory procedures involving advanced airways and oxygen management - Experience with cardiac drips that are not titrated Job Description: - Work in a 34-bed unit with private rooms and a typical staff of a Charge nurse, 7 Registered Nurses (RNs), 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and a Unit Clerk during the day shift. - Utilize equipment such as GE Telemetry, Pyxis, and Welch Allen Vital Sign Monitors. - Use Meditech Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. - Perform procedures such as stress tests, heart catheterization, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), paracentesis, thoracentesis, and manage chest tubes. - Demonstrate a team-oriented personality and strong collaboration skills. - Be prepared for floating assignments to units including Medical-Surgical, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, and Emergency Department holding areas as needed. - Work every other weekend as part of the schedule. - Adhere to the dress code of navy scrubs.
